Growbaby is still here, operating under the name Ivy Street Baby Share, to reflect the work we do in the community and fit in better with the Ivy Street mission to support the local community in Hoxton and the surrounding area.
This service is open on Thursdays 10-2.30 (during school term times) for clients to come and choose items for their baby/child. Our friendly team of staff and volunteers will be on hand to help.
We also gratefully welcome donations. Please see below for the items that we always need.
Please note that the entrance to the building is at the back in Fern Close.
Ivy Street Baby SHare
Previously known as Growbaby, Baby Share supports the most vulnerable families in our community with baby clothes and equipment.
We are open for referrals from any agency, including self referrals, and we will endeavour to meet the needs. We take basic information from the families for internal monitoring purposes but there is no assessment of need or paperwork for the clients to complete.
We are open every Thursday from 10-2.30 during school term times.
WHAT WE NEED (birth to 5):
-Moses baskets & bedding
-Blankets
-Hooded towels
-Slings & carriers
- Prams & pushchairs
-Breast Pumps
- Bouncing chairs
- High chairs
-Nappies, wipes, lotions
-Changing bags
WE ARE UNABLE TO ACCEPT DONATIONS OF TOYS, BOOKS, FORMULA OR BABY FOOD.
What to expect
You will be welcomed to our lovely new centre (entrance in Fern Close) and will be taken to our wonderful choosing room where our friendly staff will take a few details for monitoring purposes. Then you can choose the items you need and take them away with you.
We cannot reserve items, so please come prepared to take away all your items when you visit.
Our playgroup runs at the same time, so you are welcome to stay for a cup of tea or coffee and meet other parents and children.
