Angela Large

Director of Services

Angela Large is the Director of Services at The Ivy Street Family Centre. She has lived in the area since 2001 and brought both her children to the Centre when they were little. She absolutely loves her job, it’s such a pleasure to see all the families enjoying themselves at our lovely sessions.

She is passionate about families and loves the opportunity to care for and support local families in our Centre. Angela has a background in nursing and health visiting with a special interest in breastfeeding, weaning and all aspects of childcare and development. Angela loves to ensure that we provide a stimulating environment for the children and a warm, friendly atmosphere where everyone can thrive.

Head and shoulders shot of Angela, she is side on to the camera but looking straight out of the picture, she has a wide open mouth as if laughing or telling a joke. She has a cartoon cat's nose and whiskers superimposed on her nose.
Head and shoulders shot of Claire. She has short pink hair adn stands in front of a leafy hedge. She is smiling stright into the camera in a quizzical way. She has a cartoon lightening strike down her face. She look very cool.

Claire Reay

Centre Manager

Claire was one of our Mums some years ago and stayed on as a volunteer after her child started school. When the Admin job came up at Ivy St she jumped at the chance to work here! Claire loves the homely atmosphere of Ivy Street and has always been a great support in all our efforts to provide an interesting and varied programme of activity.

Claire is now the Centre Manager and runs our Growbaby service on Thursdays as well as all the other things that happen here. She does an amazing job coordinating our wonderful Toy Appeal each year, ensuring that hundreds of Hackney children receive a present at Christmas.

Claire has a background in social care, human resources and retail, as well as running her own craft business and teaching knitting.

Chloe Sanderson

Play Leader

Chloe is a lifelong Hoxton resident, and has been coming to Ivy Street for over 15 years as a parent, as a volunteer and now as our wonderful Play Leader.

She runs all of the play sessions, has a wealth of local knowledge and brings a sense of calm to the craziness of a messy play session.

Chloe has a background in Nursery Nursing and loves coming up with new ideas for the families to enjoy.

Head and shoulders shot of Chloe with a cartoon crown on her head and robe around her shoulders. She is smiling at the camera.
