Our long held dream of a new home for all our activities is getting closer and closer each day.
We are about to appoint contractors to complete the fit out of the ground floor and basement so that we can get our doors open to local families as soon as possible.
We have been in the building!
The rooms are taking shape and we have been able to do a number of site visits. The main space is a large airy room that will be perfect for messy play, music sessions and family events. The basement room is a flexible space for meetings, soft play sessions and homework club. The Growbaby room is HUGE and will easily become a lovely welcoming boutique for Mums in need to come a browse the donations. Claire has a small, but perfectly formed, office and there is a large pram store just inside the front entrance. A porch over the front door will shelter the Mums as they wait to come in and a platform lift to the basement ensures that everyone can access all our activities.
Our dream for families with primary school aged children to have a safe and welcoming space to learn, play and thrive in Hoxton, is coming to life before our eyes.
Because we are taking on a completely empty shell of a building we need funds to fit it out with all the right facilities. Could you help us? Every penny will be used to get us closer to opening the doors.
£100 will give us an extractor fan in the toilets
£200 will give us waste outlet and plumbing
£500 will give us a hot water cylinder
£1,000 will give us a sink and hob in the kitchen
£5,000 will give us non slip, toddler friendly flooring to the activity space
£10,000 will give us flexible lighting throughout the activity spaces
